They/Labour have borrowed £2000 in your name to give you £600. More like bad old Labour.

That's fine because smokers, boozers, car users and +£150k toffs are paying for the £2k loan and my £600 rebate. Distribution of wealth from the rich to poor people like me. Brilliant! :D

Not me, I'm £600 better off this year, and I assume next year and every year after.

I think Labour have saved the UK from the GLOBAL recession. Thank god we had Brown and Darling at the helm at this difficult time. Those damned yanks and their mortgages caused the problem and Labour are the solution.

A political budget with an eye on the future rather than addressing issues now.

Raising higher rate taxes in a years time is headline grabbing, but the amounts it would raise aren't significant in terms of the Public Finances debt.

The borrowing requirement is the ticking bomb.............

And the added cost to road haulage over the coming years? Will effect us all.

May not have changed income tax but changes to employees NIC were announced last November that will kick in April next year.

They should put more haulage on trains and maybe we'll be able to drive on the roads without them being clogged by lorries. Our air quality should be better too. A budget to save the country that also saves the planet. Only labour could be so comprehensively wonderful.

I wouldn't want to be going through these times with Cameron as our leader.

It would have been interesting. Cameron has advocated a policy at odds with most of the world's governments, the IMF, OECD etc. I get the debate around the state of public finances - a valid argument can be made about the whys and wherefores of Brown's borrowing post 2001. But not surely of the "no stimulus" arguments made by the Tories.

I wonder where we would have been had we uniquely sat on our hands?
