Avg 8.5

Hi all,
i recently updated my avg to 8.5 and did a scan which came up with some potentionally
dangrous cookies. tryed to remove them but a message came up saying scan result
manager is not initialised also said the same when i tryed to view the virus vault
Should i uninstall avg then reinstall?

I downloaded avg 8.5 yesterday because i was having trouble with my pc seems to eb fine now my only problem is that i get a little red shield in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, when i click on it to open it up it comes up in the Malware protection section that AVG anti-virus free reports that it is turned off. I click the trun on button but nothing seems to happen, any ideas on what i should do?

UPDATE and FULL SCAN
Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
