Padded Jiffy Style Envelope

Hi,

I normally re-use and recycle padded envelopes and jiffy bags when I am posted items to buyers, but I am starting to run very low and I urgently need to buy some more.

I went to my post office today and medium size ones were 85p each. I cant justify spending that much, and dont want to start adding that cost on to my postal costs.

Can anyone help where have they seen cheap ones, prob need A4 size ones?

Thanks

Yes, Poundland sell Jiffy Bags- either 8 small ones (just smaller than 1 DVD in case) for £1 or 6 large (suitable for 2-3 DVD's in cases) for £1. Also, the ones at Poundland havn't got "Jiffy" scrawled across the back of them and are totally blank so you might appear more professional??

If you look afround on ebay you can usually get them for less than 10p each, but usually have to buy at least 100.

You know I have never seen a poundland or 99p store where I live. Luton.
Does anyone know if there is one close to me, that sounds like a bargain.

Have looked on ebay, but you end up paying postage and dont really want 100, but thanks.

P.s am very new to this, how do I get notifications that someone has replied to my thread?

Do you belong to freecycle ? Our local group sometimes has these offered, along with bubble wrap, polystyrene chips, etc..... only cost is the petrol to go and collect...;).

Basically it's a locally based worldwide group (if that makes sense) where people offer their unwanted stuff for free, you can also place a 'wanted' in case someone has something you need -

some people take the 'p' a bit but I have met some wonderful and generous people on there, plus got rid of stuff I no longer have need of.

hang on - I'll find a link for you....

    tada !

There's a 'Find a Store' link on Poundland's website, you might be able to find one close to you through that. x

meant to add that you have to watch out for the 'serial wanters' and 'greedy grabbers' that desperately need whatever it is that's being offered:rolleyes:.....

and it's generally frowned on to use it as a source of income by selling on the stuff that's been given to you at carboots or on ebay without first mentioning it as most people would rather it went to someone who would actually use it themselves.

The thread on the link I gave you should give you a well-rounded view :D
