All entrants must be over the age of 18 and be UK residents. Employees of the promoter MDS Ltd. (on behalf of Hills Balfour Synergy, the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation, Air New Zealand, STA Travel and all other prize partners), its agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion, and their families, are excluded from entering this competition. The promotional materials, including information on how to enter the promotion, form part of these terms and conditions. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. Participants must complete the competition entry form to be valid for entry. Only one entry per person is allowed.
Competition commences Wednesday 1 April 2009 and closes Sunday 31 May 2009. The prize will be drawn and winners notified by Friday 26 June 2009. The winner will be randomly drawn from the eligible prize pool and will need to respond within 72 hours of this to accept being the winner, or another winner will be chosen. Attempts will be made to notify the winner by the email provided at the time of entry. If the promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner, then the prize is forfeited and further draw(s) will be conducted. Winners names will NOT be made public unless used for PR purposes, which the winner agrees to participating in as part of entry to this competition.
The first valid (consumer) entry drawn will win the prize of:
• Two (one pair) adult Air New Zealand return Economy class flights from London Heathrow to Rarotonga (via Los Angeles) including taxes and charges
• Two (one pair) adult Air Rarotonga return Economy class flights from Rarotonga to Aitutaki
• Twelve (12) nights room-only accommodation, including six (6) nights at the Tamanu Beach Resort (Aitutaki) and six (6) nights at the Muri Beachcomber (Rarotonga)
• Return airport to hotel transfers (Cook Islands)
The prize does NOT include:
• Any additional travel costs (including getting to/from London Heathrow Airport and ground transportation costs once in the Cook Islands)
• Air Rarotonga flight taxes
• Departure Tax (Cook Islands) – approx. NZD$30 per person
• Meals or drinks
• Spending money
• Activities
• Travel insurance – all prize winners must ensure they hold
The flights are valid for 12months from the date the winner is notified. Flights must be booked at least four (4) weeks within the notification date and within four (4) weeks of date of travel. Flights are subject to availability. Black out dates when travel is not permitted apply and will be advised to the individual winner. These include the periods of: 23 June 2009 – 31 August 2009, 07 Dec 2009 – 23 February 2010, 21 March 2010 – 21 April 2010. The maximum value of the flights is up to £3,000 including taxes. Anything over and above this amount will remain the responsibility of the prize winner. Air New Zealand accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. The flight tickets are non-negotiable and under no circumstances are permitted to be upgraded. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s general terms and conditions of carriage, to view visit www.airnz.co.nz/general_tc.htm. Airpoints cannot be accrued on prize air travel. The winner and their travel companion are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas where applicable. Air New Zealand assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. Neither Air New Zealand nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered. Air New Zealand collects participants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the participant may not take part in the promotion. Please refer to Air New Zealand’s Privacy Policy at http://www.airnewzealand.co.uk/privacy_policy.htm regarding the collection, use and storage of personal information.
Availability and date restrictions: All portions of the prize are subject to availability and may also be subject to date limitations and restrictions during school holidays and peak periods. This includes matching availability of flights and accommodation. The Travellers must travel together. If the Travellers are unable to travel in accordance with the above or unavailable date restrictions, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize. The promoter reserves the right to make changes to the above dates & duration without penalty. No cash alternatives will be offered.
The prizes are not transferable, if the winner (and their travelling companion) is unable to travel in accordance with the below mentioned date restrictions, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and the promoter’s decision is final.
Travel insurance, ground transportation, Air Rarotonga flight taxes, Cook Islands departure taxes, food, drinks and spending money are not included and shall be the sole responsibility of the travellers. No cash or credit alternatives will be offered.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel this competition, or to change any condition of this competition, without notice. The Organisers reserve the right to substitute the prize or any part of the prize (due to unavailability or for any other reason) with a different prize or part of the prize of equal or greater monetary value.
The Travellers agree to be interviewed and photographed and agree to be available for interviewing, photography and for other public relations and promotional activities associated with this competition, as required by the Organisers.
The Organisers assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Organisers assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or down-loading any materials relating to this promotion.
Neither the organisers nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered.
The prize draw will be governed by English Law and the promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
This same competition is being run across the official Cook Islands Shipwrecked viral game and on the World Travel Guides website, by which all competition data will be combined at the end of the promotion, with a winner selected from all combined data files by an independent judge.

This looks exactly the same prize as http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1604301&highlight=sta+travel according to the T's & C's (both run by STA / MDS). Only one entry per person.

Hmm, but the competition seems totally different. In the one I posted you have to choose a boat, shipwreck it on an island, etc. The other one you just answer a question and submit your details. Totally different format.
