Grantham

Girlfriend in Yorkshire. Me in Essex. I'm considering moving to somewhere in the middle. Renting or buying. I sold my house last year and am currently renting. Saw Grantham. Train service to London seems ok (I currently work in London). Anybody here have opinions on Grantham? Nice place or a sh*thole?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Grantham - used to be the murder capital of the UK. Up until a few years ago you used to go into the complex that had Morrisons and across the whole wall (maybe 5-6 shop space worth) were those missing people posters!!! It was like something out of the Lost Boys.
However, the place has been tidied up since then.
Now, there are bad parts of Grantham, drugs etc and you will also see quite a few homeless, beggars on the street (working in London though you should be used to it!)
It all depends which part of Grantham you will live in, there are some very nice estates, but also some very rough ones. I don't mind Grantham and have a day out there once every couple of months (there's also lots of student nurses due to the Hospital there!)0
