I've never dealt with them personally, but then again that isn't particularly surprising considering the large number of personal injury firms out there. The one thing that can be said with some certainty is that the reason why your Insurers have put you in touch with them is because they will likely get a referral fee from it. No assumptions should be made about their quality from that though.
You do have a completely free choice as to which firm to use. Personally I'd go off recommendations from other people that have used personal injury firms before. I'd be happy to give you some recommendations of my own if you so wish.
One small point, but where are you based? The only reason I ask is that if you are in Scotland procedure differs, and you should really instruct a Scottish solicitor, or at the very least one with specialist knowledge of Scottish procedure."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? I reside in england, I have not heard any reviews on lamport bassitt therefore am relying on moneysavingexpert.com users experience if they have ever dealt with them before. It is not for personal injury, its in regarding to dispute in liability and car hire charges0

I've had them as opposing solicitors, no worse or better than anyone else in my experience.0

Your insurers will in all likelihood have put you in touch with someone on their panel and made a nice fee from it - often up to 800 pounds.
It is worth talking to other people and going by personal recommendation. I have general recommendations of firms who I think are very good. However, you get good and dreadful people at all types of firms.
Recommendations are fantastic in my opinion - people come to me for recommendations very regularly and I take it seriously. I would be disappointed if someone I make a recommendation to had a bad experience!
There is one firm I recommend for family, 1 for employment and 1 for PI. Not my firm by the way - not to say that they aren't good but that it would be a bit bias!0 -
I'm the same. Luckily it hasn't happened yet, but I would certainly not feel too good about it if someone I recommended turned out to do a below par job.Recommendations are fantastic in my opinion - people come to me for recommendations very regularly and I take it seriously. You do have to be slightly careful here, because credit hire is a different area of law to personal injury, and one that people can become specialist in entirely separately. Most PI solicitors have some grasp of credit hire one way or the other, but it is a distinct area with its own set of rules and principles. There are actually specialist credit hire solicitors firms out there. Again, there is one that springs to mind as one that I've come across a number of times when I've defended credit hire claims.
