I need some help moving & switching

I need some help with switching before I phone up the supplier of the new flat I have moved into.

In old flat previously with British gas on a standard tariff for both gas & elec paying by monthly direct debit I have worked out that over the year we used 5300 kwh in electric we did not have economy 7 either.

Moved to new flat which the supplier is Npower, we have not spoke to them yet as trying to work out best deal with comparison sites but I am getting confused how to make the comparison between old and new as we have to consider the following.

In old flat we had no double glazing so we used halogen heater a lot which made our elec bills a lot higher, we also had no economy 7, we didnt use gas heating at all just cooking.

In new flat we have double glazing and economy 7 and also have not used halogen heaters once and wont have to as its quite warm anyway plus we have no gas so its electric for cooking too.

When I do a comparison should I be entering BG as my supplier with the 5300 usage from old place as we cannot compare to new place yet as only just moved in? if so then it suggests Npower is the cheapest..............or do we estimate that at the new flat we will use the same kwh? I say this as we dont have gas in new place so will use more elec but this may level out as we are not using the halogen heater thus proviing a balance???

Just a bit stuck as moving hasnt helped either.

Any advice and help will be fantastic and I will be sitting here waiting if you have any questions as I will probably have forgot something.......
