Hi everyone
I am on maternity leave just now so am in my home for majority of day. I have had a number of phone calls, maybe 3 -4 x a day from this number:
02030063103
I have caller display so don't answer it. when I googled the number there are lots of people complaining that they are charged if they answer the phone to this number or if they phone the 0800 number that the voicemail message on a/machine to say they don't want to be contacted again they are also charged.
I know it isn't a big deal, and I can continue to screen my calls, but it is really getting me fed up (along with waiting for baby to pop out!!). We called virgin but they said as its a landline they can't block it.
Please offer me a solution!!
thanks

Plenty of people getting the same it appears:

It appears mainly those with Virgin Media landlines are targeted and that the calls come from Vonage - who've been advertising on TV lately.
Someone suggested Vonage = Gamma Telecom.

Have you registered with TPS.

Stopped all our calls on 2 numbers now.0 -
Hi
Yes, we registered with TPS a couple of years ago, but it appears they can't block silent callers - which looking at other peoples experiences when they do answer the call, is what this company do. Blooming annoying!0 -
Hi Heinz
thanks for that info. Do you think its worthwhile contacting those numbers, or is that likely to lead to a charge?
I wonder if I was to give that info to Virgin then they might be more likely to follow up if its affecting a lot of their users.
Can feel my blood pressure rising!! Its such an invasion getting these calls every day. Maybe I need to get out more:o0 -
I'd call these calls abusive if they are upsetting you (they are ovbiously). They may seem minor to some people but I wouldn't like them.
Get back on to Virgin and tell them to get their finger out and sort it or you'll move your account.0
