still don't understand Best match.

I know it is complicated and worked out on all sorts of criteria yet without changing my business model at all I'm suddenly in the first 5 items on Best match using a keyword where there are several thousand items listed

Obviously I don't mind but it shows it must be more random that they say, I'm not even a powerseller.

Only a month ago with almost exactly the same statistics I couldn't even make it to the front page.

No one will convince me there is any real formula for it.

Supply may be based upon a supply of keywords that may be the number of times a word is used in search or item title. Shouldn't moan anyway , Amazon has completely died for me so I'm relying on a good turnover of ebay stock as I think my market is not likely to be a long lived one.

It's the opposite story for me Soolin - my items were high up on 'best match' a couple of months ago and now my competitors are well above me. My items are either same price or cheaper, I have plenty of them available, 1500 fb and a silver ps.

Then it is random, the account in question is 4000+ all positive but I actually increased my p and p a little as it appeared to make no difference to my sales if I added an additional 15p to each item. I have no power seller status at all. My items that I can match like for like are actually slightly dearer now (not a great deal) than my competitors, although I do monitor that on a daily basis.
