Would I be better off switching back to BT?

We are currently with BT for line rental. We use Primus for our call provider and then use 18185 if making calls to landlines/mobiles during the day. Is this still the best way to go?
I keep getting letters from BT to come back to them but I'm not sure if it's cheaper/the same? I assume that as we're not currently with BT for making calls, we don't benefit from the free 0845/0870 calls.
I get a bit confused with all the figures

I'd recommend that, as you already have Primus Saver CPS (or their Penny Mobile 2 CPS), you stick with it.
BT's "inclusive 0845 and 0870 calls within your calling plan" had muddied the waters a little but, as you are certain to get them at weekends anyway (you must be on BT's Unlimited Weekend Plan), it's a judgement call whether changing to BT's £2.95/month Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan or their £5.95/month Unlimited Anytime Plan is suitable for your calling pattern.
However, as you'll see in the HERE link in my signature below, there are a few calls which are cheaper via BT (i.e. with the 1280 prefix) at certain times and, of course, you should consider using the 1280 prefix to make your weekend UK 01/02/03 calls of under 60 minutes with the 1280 prefix because they'll count as your qualifying calls for free Caller Display and/or basic 1571 (but please don't use 1571).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
thanks Heinz
. We are not heavy users of the landline as we try and use our mobiles as much as we can but at times if the mobile signal is bad, we have to use the landline. I just wanted to make sure we were on the "right package" and it appears that we are. 0
