Car Insurance - Bad Credit History

Helloo guys.
I am just about to buy my very first car, however i am a little unsure if i can pay my car insurance monthly due to my bad credit history.
I have a CCJ, a silly mistake when i was 18, it was satisfied within a year and is due to come off in March 2011 - so has been satisfied for 3 years now. I also have a few defaults, again a silly mistake in my teens. I have been looking at car insruance and would ideally like to pay it monthly, Tesco so far has worked out cheapest for me, £590, so would be £59 a month.
Has anybody with bad credit been able to get car insurance on pay monthly?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Many thanks :A

As long as you answer everything honestly, then you should not have a problem.
Some Insurers/Brokers will ask about CCJ's / Defaults - others won't.
Some will offer you instalments - some won't.
Just answer any questions about your credit history truthfully, then relax and take the deal that suits you best.
But from what you've said so far, please don't ask me to lend you a tenner! All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
All the companies will do a credit check before giving you their instalment facility, so the ccj will always come to light (though you usually won't be asked specifically about it during the quote process).
Often they ask your permission to carry out the check, but if you decline to give it, then they won't offer you their instalment plan, and will only quote on the basis of you paying the year's premium in full and in advance.0
