Ok, from the beginning:
1) Open Windows Explorer\File Manager and locate the files you wish to rename. Or create a Folder called "Music Selection 1", then drag the files you will be working with into that folder.
2) Right Click each file that you wish to rename. Select from the context menu "Rename", each track shall be highlighted blue. Then using the arrow keys on your keyboard, press the Left one untill you are at the beginning of the track title. Then insert your chosen integer ie: "01", "02" etc. Do this for EACH track.
3) Open Nero, then if you need to select "CD" (number 1)from the drop-down box, then Audio CD (number 2)from the interface.
4) Navigate to where your chosen mp3 files are located using the "Add" button then the drop down box at the top of the loader.
5) Load the mp3 files by pressing Ctrl + A (select all) and press the "Add" button below. It shall scroll through the list of mp3 files scanning each one in turn. Then click "Finnished".
You shall notice (I assume this is where you got stuck last time?); Where it says "Title" on the loader, you are able to click this little bar and it shall order the tracks alphabetically from A - Z or Z to A. Note how the green arrow points up or down depending upon the ordering. If none suit your needs, simply Left Click on a file and drag it to the position within the list where you want it.
On the right of the loader, you may notice "Normalize all audio files". You need to tick this, as otherwise you shall be constantly tweaking the volume knob in the car as for various reasons the tracks don't have a constant volume. By ticking this option, you will be able to select the required volume once in the car and all tracks shall play at that volume. Just like a "regular" cd.
You may also notice "No pause between tracks", this simply removes the usual 3 second pause between tracks. Who needs it? Either you want to listen to your music or not - right?
It also ensures that you can get as much music as possible on the disk. As each bit of silence takes up some space that you could squeeze an mp3 file onto.
Once you have the cd ordered as you would like it, press the "Next" button. You shall advance to the Nero "Final Burn Settings".
All you really need to type in here is "Title" Ellie's Music 1" or whatever you decide to call the selection you have created. "Artist" Various", now hit the "Burn" button. Now sit back and wait for the cd to burn. Once done, close Nero and carry on with your life.
I hope this answers your question more fully? Any more questions, just post back.
I've just noticed, that you mention "MP3 Player" (Duh! Slaps Self!... Ouch!) ::doh: the above instructions create a music disk that shall play in ANY cd player.
Do you have a "MP3" playing car-stereo ? Does it specifically play MP3 Files ? If so, you just need to create a standard Data Disk, as in stage 1 of this guide. All be it without the Album Art as this shall confuse the player.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0
