Refund on sickness cover?

My partner has been paying out monthly on sickness cover, based on his original income as a contractor. Since 2002 he has been running his own company where his income has been negligble. He overlooked to cancel the sickness cover so has been paying out the monthly premiums where there was zero risk to the insurer as he had minimal income to pay out on should he have become sick.

He knows it's his own fault for not sorting it out far sooner but is there any chance of claiming any of this money back?

Thanks very much for any advice!

Many thanks

He's had he higher cover all that time so there's no way a refund will be given now.

Yes, and that's exactly why there is no chance of claiming anything back.

Agree with above. He has still been benefitting from the policy (even if its not ot the full extent) and the insurance company have provided a service in that period so they have no reason to refund a penny.
