Would you post to Japan?

I have an item on ebay and today received a question from two different buyers asking what the cost would be to post to Japan. The listing is UK only, is glass and is rather expensive, I don't know if it would be worth the hassle to send to Japan as there seems to be a lot of interest within the UK. Bother buyers have 100% positive feedback.
Has anyone else posted a fragile item to a country so far away and is there anything else I should consider?
Thanks in advance.

The seller remains 100% responsible for the item until it arrives, so no point in asking the buyer to assume the risk.
You would therefore need to find a courier or something in advance that will insure glass to Japan and work out the postage costs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Normally I would say yes but as it's an item likely to break then this time I'd say no.Terms & Conditions Apply0

Agreed - generally I would not be worried about Japan on fraud grounds, but the way those cargo boys chuck stuff around...0
