For the last two months Capital One, have not attempted to take the required direct debit from my bank account.They have simply charged a £12.00 over due payment fee, which they give back instantly when I phoned them and complained. The direct debit is active at my bank, and Capital One have sent me a letter confirming my bank details, my bank also confirms that no attempt was made to take the payment. Now I just wondered how many other people they were doing this to, (as the idiot girl I spoke to at Capital One, made feeble excuses like we can't take a direct debit from a Joint Account!!!!!!).
