ATI Drivers

Trying to upgrade my graphics card drivers via the ATI website, Installer starts then tells me I need administrator rights, Checked the PC and I've already got those?

Any ideas?

Switch off your security whilst you attempt the install

Are you using Vista? if so right click the installer for the driver and select "Run as Adminitrator"

This can sometimes happen if your machines infected

I do use a program to completely remove the CURRENT driver and related software ready to install the new one but reluctant to do so in case you still cant get it to install so id suggest as follows ~

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
    http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
    UPDATE and FULL SCAN
Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
