We started moving from Scottish Power to Scottish Gas in November last year, to take advantage of a capped deal at the time.
By January the electricity was moved, but our gas might only have been moved over now, and we have not been able to take advantage of the deal we wanted to due to Scottish Gas "forgetting" to move the gas.
Also we have been paying both of them for these services for 2 or 3 months now, and we are no closer to resolving this.
Also our final meter readings were plucked out of thin air and were vastly over estimated by someone somewhere but noone will tell us who.
We have cancelled our direct debit with Scottish Power as we have paid them for the last 2 months and now they have billed us for the period jan to march.
Really dont know what to do about all of this!
The lesson is dont ever change as its an absolute nightmare!!!!

Try this thread to identify your current suppliers.
As you've been paying for the services for two suppliers your entitled, naturally, to your money back. In addition you can also pursue compensation (loss of savings interest and poor handling of the account).
Providing you have documentary evidence for you Gas move you should have that reinstated at the agreed fixed-price rate.
You should probably seek to escalate the Gas move higher up the customer service chain.
Have a good search of these fourms there's probably been a query like yours before.0
