Please tell me im not alone.
I got my new bank card last June and signed it as soon as I got it, although that was a task in itself, they just seem impossible to write on, anyway already my signature has rubbed off as well as part of the 3 digit security code.
I dont use my card like crazy or anything, its kept in a cupboard all the time and whenever I need money ill take it out and put it straight back when I get home, I cant resign it so I have to request another, does anyone think having to request a new card after only 10 months stupid? its supposed to last me 3 years.
My husband just got his new bank card last week and he couldn't even sign it, when he did manage to get a pen to write on it (after about 8 different pens) it looks like a toddler had signed it, no doubt if anyone needs to see his signature they will refuse it, its that bad.
Is it just Natwest or are they all like this? Or are me and my husband alone in this?

I've got about 12 different cards from various providers. I have never been able to sign on any of them except with a permanent black marker pen. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
EDIT: And then leave the card with the strip face up for several hours to allow the ink to dry so it can't be simply rubbed off. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
Loads of people have problems with this. My Halifax debit and credit cards and Nationwide debit card signed with no problem, I probably used a Parker ballpoint pen for them.0

I recently received my new Natwest debit card and had/have the same problem. My other cards ( credit cards etc) all seemed alright to sign with just about any pen, as was my old Natwest card. But, not my new card. So far, it has resisted most attempts to get a readable signature on it.
I blame the pens as my present one is making too many spelling mistakes for my liking;)0 -

I know just what you mean my keyboard had been playing up recently too.:D
I think with the Natwest ones (dont have any other to go on) they are just too shiny to write on, I would use my marker but its that thick id probably need 2 cards just to get my signature on.0
