does my equities breakdown seem reasonable or underweight/overweight in any particular region?
Im investing for long term (10 years plus) - although, willing to take a profit on the way and reinvest. Its focused on growth, without being reckless and with eye on income for reinvestment.
50% UK, 8% USA, 5% Europe (ex UK), 2% Japan, 21% Pacific area (ex Japan), 5% India (First State), 5% Latin/South America, 3% Russia (Neptune), 1% Africa
Portfolio breakdown
55% Equities (3/4 in funds and 1/4 in etfs), 30% Cash in Bank, 8% in Commodities (etfs), 7% in bonds.

you are probably right; it will be bumpy.
as i can be relatively patient with the investments and I believe the emerging markets will outperform the developed economies for the next few yearsso its a calculated "gamble" over the next decade.0 -
looks like a reasonable regional spread.
japan has performed relatively poorly in the last 10 years, but of course, past performance and future returns are not always correlated."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0
