Hey guys,
I just thought id let you know how im doing.. 6 months in..
36 Month £30k Savings Plan!
GOAL £30,000
TOTAL SAVED £ 7,838
REMAINING £22,162
MTHS GONE 6
MTHS REMAINING 30
AVG. PER MONTH SO FAR £1306
PER MONTH REMAINING £ 739
APROX. INTEREST £ 1,408 (based on avg. interest of 3%)
The products I currently use are:
Barclays Golden Cash ISA - currently a low 2.55% - tax free + 1% bonus for 1 year = 3.55% - 6 months remaining of bonus.
Barclays Monthly Saver - 4.67% NET - £250pcm
Halifax Reg Saver - 4% NET - £300pcm
NPBS Family Reg Saver - 4.8% NET - £250pcm
Egg Savings - 2.6% NET - £80pcm
Iv managed to save alot more than expected per month, as I got a tax rebate etc. £30k is still my aim, if I finish early great, but any additional will be used for holidays etc. :-)
I try to keep a little in an instant access just in case I need some. Thats why I have the Egg.
Its great news that the ISA limit has risen.. so I will consider a transfer closer to the new tax year as it is currently full for this one.
Id love to put some money into something that could return a much high rate.. I dont mind a higher risk. Any recommendations?0 -
