Chrome paint.

I have an electric fire set into my fireplace..It is mostly black but the front part is brass.Is it possible to paint this chrome or silver,and if so what is best to use.

Unfortunately "chrome" paint is usually pretty poor. There are some used by car enthusiasts that get reasonable results but it's a lot of work and I've no idea how well it would resist the heat.0
