Paypal dilemma - won SNAD, 2 items to return, 1 payment, 1 tracking number?

hello
please help! I bought 3 expensive and rare 7'' vinyls from a seller which all turned out to be SNAD. After much faffing around, the seller has finally agreed to refund me fully through paypal for 2 of the items, still no word on the third most expensive one. Although i paid for all 3 at the same time, paypal split the transactions into 1 for one vinyl (£56) and 1 for the other two (total £38.80). I wish to return the 2 worth £38.80. They were all sent in 1 package, but now paypal want me to return, im confused as to whether to send both vinyls separate with tracking, or to send them together in the same package with tracking. As far as i can see, paypal only ask for one tracking number, but i dont want to run the risk of the seller claiming he only received one back by only having one tracking number for two. It seems safer postal wise to return both together, if he receives 1 he receives both, but i don't want to fall foul of false accusations.
can any ebay/paypal experts advise me as to whats best? I use ebay a lot but in 7 years this is the first time ive been in this situation!
thankyou in advance for any help offered
