new guttering?

Hi. was wondering if anyone knew a rough ballpark figure of how much it would be to have the guttering replaced on the house? Its a small mid-terraced house which currently still has the old wooden guttering, which has started to leak where it joins with next-doors plastic guttering. I would want both front and back doing. I know the materials can be purchased pretty cheaply, but not sure about how much someone would charge for labour? any help appreciated, thanks.

If you can find one man to do it on his own using a ladder it'll be about £150 labour.
If you get a larger company in, they will probably get scaffolding/tower and two men so probably £4-500

there is a great new plastic wood mock gutter that is the same shape as the original, few hundred sound OK, but watch out for those wanting to use low profile (cheap) systems as a terrace often has to handle vast amounts of water. Most systems have connectors to match up. I would do it for £260 'ish. in standard hi-flow plastic. (black, grey or white???)
  • If you are a typical terrace (4-5 mtrs/12-16ft wide) It can be done between £250-£300, its a pretty simple job

Would that include fitting facia board, primed, undercoat and gloss?

No it would be removal of the old guttering & downpipes then install the new ones.

If there was any damaged/rotted fascia, felt or tiles then this would be pointed out on survey, if the customer onlys wants guttering & we have pointed out any other possible problems then we would just install the guttering unless the fascia was completely rotten then we would polietly decline the work.

If we do a job then our name is on the vans & we leaflet drop 10 homes either side of the property & the 10 across the road. If we have installed new guttering on old fascia & it starts hanging off in 6 months nobody in that street would think that Mr X had rotten fascia they would just think homestyle did a shabby job.
