But the LO would only go to the County Court if recovery action via the LO failed.
So, no a LO is not on your credit file. If the case goes to the CC (after any action on the LO has failed), then the CC would note and keep it on file until the debt is paid.
It is proposed - although has not been passed - that CMEC are going to push for LO to be on a credit file. This would be the first kind of non credit debt that would be on a file.
A LO and a CCJ are completely different things. And the CCJ only comes about after all recovery action on the LO has been exhausted - it's not a natural progression.0 -
Actually Loopy CCJ is often the first option after the LO has been granted if the NRP refuses to pay the debt off - it doesn't necessarily come after bailiffs etc.0

This is what I don't understand.
Lo was served in a magistrates court, without my knowledge and without letters etc, ( I now Know)it was verified from the county court within 3 weeks of the magistrates court. So, in my case it was not refusal to pay but an automatic pass onto the County Court.
not to sure it constitues a ccj0 -

But it still goes back to the fact that LO's do not get registered with a CRA as proudsinglemum seems to thinks.
CCJ's do but a CCJ is not a LO. It's completely different.
Blimey - have you got your credit files yet? You can get them free on a 30 day trial and it will show whether you have a CCJ but bearing in mind that they drop off your file 6 years after it was registered.
Have you had any problems getting credit since all this happened? Problems with mortgage, credit cards, overdraft etc? If you had a CCJ then there is no chance you would get any of these things until it had dropped off the file.0 -
to be fair, I'm still waiting for files.
Where can I this 30 day trial to find out?
To be fait, I've not asked for credit of anykind for years.0 -
Here's the link for Credit Expert which is Experian and the main CRA. There are also Equifax and CallCredit but if you have a CCJ then it will show up on all 3 and defo on this.
You do have to input card details but just remember to phone and cancel within the 30 day period and there's no charge
