Which country is cheapest for postage?

Hello,

We are looking to open a shop with a mail order business in Spain, France, Germany and/or Italy but we don't know which country has the cheapest postage rates or the most reliable service. Each shop would have to cover their own country and we might make one of them big enough to also send out to the rest of Europe.

Can anyone give us some guidance as to which country has the best domestic and international prices?

(Packages can be anywhere from 200g up to 10kg but we can split them into multiple packages of <2kg if that's the most economical way of sending them)


We'd really appreciate any guidance or advice that anyone can give!
