    I am sorry, but my husband is the main insured on my car - because the insurance company told us to!

    I use the car more often, but I drive about 5 miles to work and back, while he takes it sometimes for long journeys and therefore does more mileage!

    Also bear in mind that the premium can go up after she passes her test, because she'll be out on her own. Check she can afford the premium after passing, not just what price you get now.
