We go through tonnes of them here! How about quiche, shallot soup, and just generally adding them to anything savory!

    Hi

    Use them instead of onions.

For a salad slice shallots, add a little red wine vinegar and salt. Leave for about 15 mins. Taste like pickled onions.

Pickled shallots are lovely, nicer than pickling onions. They also are perfect whole in any casserole/stew and have a better flavour when fried than regular onions.

    Hi oddies,

If I find them reduced I often use them in place of onions. These threads may help:

    Shallots galore

    Pickled Onions/Shallots & pickled cucumber

    pickling beetroot and shallots

I'll add your thread to the first link later to keep the suggestions together.
