Credit Card with decent initial limit

Hi,
I currently have a Natwest Graduate Account with a Student Credit Card with a £500 limit, im in a full time job and earn about £17-£20k
As this £500 limit was a bit rubbish and couldn't be increased, I decided to apply for the Capital One credit card - i've been accepted, but on the phone today I was told the initial limit would be £200?! Which is totally pointless as I need it to be at least £1k, as it would only be used for big purchases such as plane tickets.
Anyway I did apply to a normal Natwest Credit Card too, but they want a doc for proof off address, and as I live with my parents I dont have any bills etc, only proof I have is their own statements! Im gona call them today though and see if I can use my driving licence instead...
So what other company could I get a card with easily and a decent limit?

Stick with Natwest. They have a history of your dealings whith them and of course your CC history already. Driving licence will be fine as proof of address :money:

AMEX and MBNA tend to be generous when it comes to credit limit.0

I can't see why they would require proof of your address if you're already a Nat West account holder. I know they operate as separate entities, but that is not normal.
Usual proof of address would be a utility bill or bank statement wheras a driving Licience would be used for ID verification purposes, but it may suffice.
I assume you applied for this online rather than through your branch ?
Getting a card easily with a decent limit is impossible to say, but for people with a reasonable credit record MBNA (dozens of cards) incl. Virgin or EGG are known for their more generous limits.
I can't see any reason why with your income you shouldn't get a card with a £1K+ limit providing you haven't missed payments/exceeded your limit in the past.0 -
Call natwest underwriters and remind them you are a natwest account holder thus no need for proof of addressBank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000

About 1 week before I applied I did call up to change address though as I had just moved house.
Im gona go into a branch in a few hours and see if they can pull up the cc application details and show them licence see if they can use that...or as you say it may all be seperate and I need to call up and send it through the post etc? which would kinda suck
ill have a look at these MBNA cards thanks0 -
The point is, you shouldn't need to supply any verification whatsoever, already being a customer unless it's because you're new address hasn't filtered through the system yet or you're showing as residing at 2 different addresses.0
