credit card

Hi,
new to the forum and just after some advice, i have a history of bad credit and if given opp will spend if given. In dec 08 i was surprised to receive a credit card through the post even though i never applied or signed for one what is worse it had 6000 credit, it is now upto its limit and obviously put me in debt. I am very annoyed by lloyds my bank for giving me this card with such a high limit as i have a 5000 overdraft as well. should they have given me this card, they say i wouln't have received a card if i hadn't applied but they have yet to show me anything of my application. any advice would e apprieciated.
Neil

You didn't have to use the card. You could of just cut it in half and sent it back.
Your own fault on this one I think.

I'm still trying to work out how someone with such a lousy history of bad credit gets a £5000 overdraft. I think that's where this 'story' lost it's credibility. I suppose the card just magically phoned up customer services & activated itself too without the OP ever agreeing to it.

    Agreed.
Niel, I think you need to be a bit more responsible with your money and stop trying to wriggle out of what you owe.

Think you're right, sounds like just another one of the many trolling stories to be found on this board nowadays.

Maybe you could take the £6000 card, and pay off your debt?

Or is it, "The Banks fault" that you spent the money?
