MBNA Credit Cards

I have an MBNA credit card and a Virgin Credit card with nearly £10k on them combined. My husband lost his job last November and hasn't worked properly since (he's a builder). I just wanted to say how good MBNA have been with us. I got in touch with them and explained the situation - convincing them that we wanted to pay off the debt not wriggle out of it, but the charges were killing us and the debt wasn't decreasing. I had an account manager assigned to us who has been fantastic. We have agreed a payment plan and they have frozen the interest and the charges. The person who dealt with me was sympathetic and understanding, I have her name and contact number so I am dealing with the same person each time I ring. So all of you out there in a similar position don't despair - there are some nice people working for the credit card companies.:j

Bloody hell, that's the first time I have ever heard of MBNA being sympathetic - well done on sorting it out Peggatty!
MBNA were one of my worst nightmares when I got into difficulty prior to going bankrupt - they called me at least 10 times a day including Sundays and bank holidays and were quite probably the rudest creditor I ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
I guess it depends who you are lucky enough to end up talking to eh!
Good luck for a debt free future
Cheers
