It's owned by The Salvation Army. I've never heard of anyone with their own current account through them, though. I don't think they even have online. What would William Shatner do?0

They issue a full visa debit card with there account, i was wondering what their credit checking process is like??
Might be an option fo those wanting a full visa debit card and where the Barclays cash card account is not an option due to IVA etc ...0 -

I just stumbled across Reliance Bank whilst doing a Google search, i've never heard of them before and the only branch is in London but the offer of the Visa debit card is tempting as i was turned down for the Barclays Cash Card Account for some reason???
The terms and conditions state something about sending £25 either by cheque or CASH!!!!!! through the post to open the account!!0 -
Says that alongside being able to withdraw £250 cash per day you can only spend £500 per day on card transactions?! How inconvenient!!Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!

True!
I'm sure i read within the terms and conditions that if you call them they will give you authorisation to spend more than £500.00 if you need to.0 -

Why wouldn't it be an option for people with an IVA?
And credit scoring is likely to be just the same as, if not stricter than the high street banks - they're going to be more susceptible to losses, after all. What would William Shatner do?0 -

I was thinking that the Barclays Cash Card account may not be suitable to those with a trust deed/iva where Barclays is one of their creditors.
This is exactly what happend to me, I tried to open a Barclays Cash Card account and was turned down because Barclaycard is one of my creditors.. This is why is suspecct i was declined the account??
BarclaysManager do you agree??0
