Hello everyone!
Well i hope its ok to ask and sorry to be a bit thick.
I ordered an item on amazon on the 3rd april so I registered and bought it. Paid through my card as there seems to be no other way you can pay. Anyhow just over 2 weeks later I am still waiting for the item. I have tried contacting the seller but no reply. Is there anyway I can get my money back or raise a claim etc like you can on ebay? Or am i being impatient with the bank holiday etc? Again sorry for all the questions and being thick I have never used Amazon before.
EDIT: I have just been on my order history and it says:
Items:
Delivery estimate: 05 April 2009 - 10 April 2009
I have a phone being sent off to be fixed at the Nokia repair centre. It says at the bottom of the return form
PROOF OF POSTAGE
Proof of postage should be obtained from the post office (free of charge) as without this, no claims for loss can be considered. Any handsets reported lost via the Freepost system will be blacklisted. If available, a copy of your proof of purchase should be included. If the unit is out of warranty on our register, a proof of purchase will be required.
I paid 100 pounds for the phone in august 2007 so obviously its not worth alot of money. If lucky it goes between 20-40 pounds on ebay tops but I need a new phone and its sitting there broke. Now I have proof of purchase etc. And i hope its ok to ask on this forum as it seems the right appropiate.
My questions are:
Whats the best way to send it? Should I just send it basic with proof of sending.
Will i also need a reciept of purchase incase it goes lost in the post?
Sorry for the long post. Any replies will be appreciated.
Thanks again

I'm not sure of Amazons T+C's for the marketplace so can't help you there, however that does seem extremely excessive for a delivery time if you ordered on april 3rd.
As for the second one, I'd send it first class recorded (covers you up to £39).
As for getting proof of postage, it's just a receipt that most post offices will give you anyway. If you send it recorded the receipt will have the tracking number on it, if not, the post office clerk may write the post code of the address you are sending to on it in pen (mine does anyway). This is your proof of postage.0 -

Wow thanks for the sudden reply. I didnt expect one so soon ! Really appreciated thank you! I will send it recorded then as it is not worth alot of money but 20-40 pounds or a fixed phone is better than nothing. Thank you again! I am going to try contact the seller again:rolleyes:0 -
No problem at all. I'm a night owl, may as well do something constructive when I'm lying here awake!0

Well it says you only need a basic proof of purchase so technically you could send it by 2nd Class large letters/parcels if you want. Just post it at the post office and ask them for a proof of postage and they'll give you this reciept and write the postcode of the place sent from on it, I believe...correct me if I'm wrong, any of the regulars, soolin, custardy?Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

I tend to agree, the OP says that her notifications says:
