I paid for something on my CC for someone else and it is now faulty and they need proof of purchase, they have misplaced the reciept.
If I give them a copy of my CC statement wll it be ok to blank out all info like cc number and credit limit etc as do not really want this person seeing this info?

What you will find is a lot of shops can now days do a duplicate receipt, pop into the shop and ask for a receipt and give details of the purchase a lot of companies will print a duplicate off. I did this with PC World and then said great now I have my receipt I want to report a problem.0

A lot depends on who you purchased it from.
a credit card statement showing £99.99 to Argos or Tesco doesnt prove much. £99.99 directly to GHD would.
Its also worth pointing out that they might question the fact details are blanked out, why and the right to the person to claim - consider it only relates to the consumer the SOGA and most warranties.0 -

There are a lot of fake GHDs on the net, are you sure you have not bought these?
If you bought them on the internet you may have received a confirmation email when your purchased, this might be sufficient as proof of purchase especially if you send it with the credit card statement0 -
