fuel pump on a BMW 528 i E28

Help folks - just where is the fuel pump located on this car - B reg - 1982. Husband thinks it's broken but can't find it !!
DON'T LAUGH - it's serious!!
You've never let me down so don't now !!

In the tank possibly.
Look under the rear seat for a hatch.

If its like me e36 the fuel pump is easy to replace.

Boot or rear seats. Basically the same as my e36
