Get a cheap advance train ticket to Coventry. Then:
Bus services from the Railway Station:

Visitors should follow the signs from the station to Warwick Road (a 2 minute walk) and from there catch the Travel Coventry services 12/12A or U1 which travel onto the main campus. The Stagecoach service U1 travels along Warwick Road and onto the Central Campus.
It is also possible to catch the Travel Coventry number 42 which goes to Cannnon Park Shopping Centre which is a 5-10 minute walk from central campus.

Ask for 'plusbus' when you buy your train ticket (to Coventry, not London as in your title thread!): this combines discounted local bus travel, valid to the university, with the train fare in a single ticket.

If you need help with train fares/times post back here with some dates. If she'll be going to a few open days or interviews in the next year (which is quite likely!) get her a young persons railcard to save a third on rail fares - www.railcard.co.uk.
