What's a good wireless router (inc modem)

I need a wireless router, with built-in modem. Needs to be able to have at least two computers connected (though I'm sure they all will nowadays). Doesn't need to be the latest tech - just for sharing a broadband connection - but needs to work OK, and good price would be nice.

Any suggestions of good ones?

I've got the Netgear DG834G (and look after two other networks that use the same router) and have never had a problem.

How is your broadband delivered at the moment? BT or Cable?

If cable I'd get a separate modem / Wireless router (in fact not even sure that I've seen a combined one before)

I would go for Netgear or DLink Router, in both instances and avoid Belkin like the plague. These two offer good value for money. If you want to spend a bit more I would recommend Linksys routers, as they have slightly better security features.

Edit: I use the same Netgear as the above poster. I think you'll find that it's quite a common model, and I too have never had an issue.

Netgear, Linksys, and D-link are all good choices.

Thanks - I do get broadband via BT.

Prices seem to have gone up (or I got a good deal on the last one I bought). That said, price on this seems good - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Micradigital-Wireless-802-11g-F5D7630uk4A/dp/B000VOO1AA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1240252791&sr=8-3 Would it do the job?

Can you move you BB supplier to say O2 and get a free Wireless Router and £79 QuidCo Cashback plus if you have access to an O2 Number a charge of £7.34 a month with unlimited Downloads and up to 8GB or pay £9.79 a month for up to 20GB Speed and get first 3 Months free. Worth taking then dropping down to the £7.34 so they actually pay yoy to have their Broadband and you get a free Wireless Router.
    Cheers

I've just had a quick look around, and have to admit that prices have gone up a bit. Got my Netgear for about £28. The only wireless router I would consider if I was to buy now would be the Linksys at ebuyer for £36.

If it's a Belkin F5D7630UK4a, why doesn't it look like this? Sure it's cheap, but going by the name alone it's even older than our own F5D76324a, which I've had no end of trouble with since BT upgraded our service to 8Mb/s. It's in the cupboard now, gathering dust.

    8mbit and 20mbit, not GB. ;)

I'd recommend Be/O2 in an instant as well.

How long have you been with BT?

My mother in law was with them for ages and was having occasional problems with broadband dropouts etc. She phoned them up to see if there was anything they could do and ended up with a free Home Hub (basically a wireless router/switch/modem) and £10 a month taken off her bill...
