Postal payment not yet received

Hi, I sold an item on the 6th April and buyer left a note to say they would send payment shortly. They marked it as payment sent on the 13th April but I have still not received it.

How long should I wait before I contact them, I'm not bothered about waiting for the payment but am concerned the payment might have got lost in the post.

I know it might still show up but Im sort of working out what might happen in this case before I do anything, the buyer is new only 3 feedback so want to tread carefully.

I dont get many postal payments so am not sure of the best way to deal with it.

Personally for postal payments I tend to give a bit longer, but even so they've had 2 weeks so I think enough is enough. send them a polite email explaining that no payment has been received, and decide then when they respond how to proceed. I would probably be looking to get a dispute open by the end of the week.
