Transferring Debt

Hi everyone,

Just a query really. I have a really bad credit history at the moment, but I'm slowly on the mend paying off all my debts etc. I have a barclaycard, a cap one card, an aqua card and a vanquis card. At the moment I can only afford to make the minimum payments. Due to an oversight by myself I have gone over the limit on my barclaycard and have managed to rack up a couple of hundred pounds worth of charges/interest. What I am looking to do is write to barclaycard and ask if they would consider upping my credit limit temporarily so that I will not be charged any further. I'm also wondering if they would up it further so that I could transfer the debt from my other cards to my barclaycard, making one monthly payment at a lower interest rate. I'm just wondering if you guys think this is worth asking as I am over my limit at the moment and I'm struggling with the debts at the moment! Altogether the whole debt on all my cards amounts to less than £1000.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can give.

Now that you have exceeded your credit limit, Barclaycard is unlikely to raise your limit, unfortunately.

Your post raises some other issues and you may want to post again on the *Debt-Free Wannabe* board. You'll get lots of advice and support there ;)
