Can I obtain credit card statements for a period of 4 years?

Hi,

I need to obtain all credit card statements over a period of 4 years, to prove that some money has been paid.

How / what is the best way I can go about this?

Thanks,
Marcus

under the freedom of information act you can make a SAR (subjest access request) asking for all the information they hold on you including the last 6 years worth of statements... there is a £10 charge.

    Hi, thanks for the reply..

Is there a standard letter I can send then requesting this information? How would I make payment?

    Thanks

I think all you have to do is call your card issuer and they will be able to order previous statements for you.

Did you pay on a monthly basis for 4 years?
If you ask nicely I'm sure they can trace one payment if you give from and to dates and the amount and beneficiary.
