Hi all
I ve just changed from XP to Vista. Whenever I lose my internet connection, Internet Explorer closes down which is so frustrating.
I ve looked in Tools and Options but I just cannot find anywhere to stop it closing.
On XP if I lost my connection, it would just tell me but Internet Explorer wouldn't close down, it would just leave me on the same page.
Does anyone know what to do ?
many thanks.

Do you install all the updates for Windows because I'm sure there's a fix for this. I have Vista and IE8 and it doesn't happen to me.A problem shared is a problem multiplied.

I would guess that its IE7. I used to use this with Vista, and occasionally it used to hang, and there's no feature that closes it when you lose the connection that I'm aware of. I think the problems may be more to do with add-ins like Adobe, which seems to cause IE to crash quite a lot.
This is the main reason I upgraded to IE8 which I have found to be much more stable.0 -
haha ie8 stable? use firefox or google chrome instead, i find chrome more intuitive, simpler oh and its faster on a lot of benchmarks compared to firefox, but firefox is heavily customisable, so take your pick and break free of these issues forever!Back by no demand whatsoever.0
