Help needed

hi,

i have a friend who was involved with a bad crowd in his heydays
since then he has transformed himself, the same cannot be said about his 'friends'

however when a crime is commited by them thye quote and provide the store his details
def. his address but soemtimes his name or their own name

the police have called aroudn and he is always tryingto clear himself for no reason

what can be done about this?

    It's annoying but it's a product of his past, unfortunately. Hopefully these people will grow up and the problem will go away on its own.

    They give his details to the store, or to the police?
    If his name is given to the police, then the ex-friends are commiting a criminal offence.

    Go to the local police station, make a complaint of harassment (against the ex-friends.

    Push this as far as it can go, insist on speaking to the Duty Inspector.

    As far as 'clearing himself for no reason', welcome to the real world. If the police receive a report of a crime, they will (sometimes) investigate it and, unfortunately, it means that innocent people get caught up in the machinery.
