Egg Loan PPI Delayed Refund

Hello
This is my first post after lurking for a while. First of all, thanks to you all for the great advice and info which has helped me along the way.
I applied for my Egg Loan PPI on 07/02/09. Despite a non response, I chased this up and was told on 30/03/09 that a cheque for just under £500 had been sent out on 23/03/09. Excellent, a result . Unfortunately, the cheque didn't arrive so I contacted them again (via secure email/message) and they told me the cheque was definately sent and that it would be with me by 11/04/09 at the latest. This was the Easter weekend so I gave it a few more days and contacted them again, to which they said it was delayed due to the Easter break and would be here by 18/04/09. They gave me a phone number to contact should it not arrive which is not in service. I have again emailed them and awaiting a reply. My post is upto date as other items of post since then have been received. Can anybody advise on what to do now as I know they'll probably give me another deadline that will be missed. Also, does anybody have a contact number to reach them on as I can't find one on their site.
Thanks
Dean

Hi Dean
Hope you receive this very soon.
It seems they have that many complaints and refunds to deal with, they have a possible back-log, but you can always give them your own deadline date, and tell them if you've not received it by then you will seek further advice on this matter, sometimes this helps them move on a little quicker.

Just a quick update for future searches, I contacted the Customer Relations Service who informed me that the cheque was sent Special Delivery on 23/03/09, but to my previous address, even though i made a point back in February about my change of address. They have since made an electronic transfer direct to my bank account.
Cheers

Hi there Dean
In that case someone signed for this then?
They should track this down and still have the signature of whom signed this and write back to them to request for this back.
Or suggest sending you another, and still request for whoever lives at your old address for them to return that particular cheque to them.
Why don't you also ask them for the postal tracking ref number, you can make sure this for yourself also by checking on the Royal mail website, tracking.;)
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
