Nationwide Card

I got a Nationwide debit cash card with a Visa sign on it after reading that it was the cheapest card if you want to use ATM's abroad to withdraw cash.
Today I received a leaflet saying that Visa charges a fee for each transaction when you make transactions in certain currencies which Nationwide pays.
From 1 June this is will be passed on to the customer.

The fee does not apply to sterling transactions.

So my question is if I am in the US and withdrawing cash from an ATM will I now pay more for this service ?

That fee only applies to non pound sterling transactions.

If you use your card in the USA, you will be charged for foreign transaction and cash withdrawal fee if you use the ATM.

It is still cheaper, the charge that is being passed on is the Visa charge but you still won't get a commission charge which the other banks pass on to you.
