How do I easily work out consumption?

do i multiply 1 weeks meter readings by 52?

1 months by 12?

consult my bill & multiply?

I have been in my house for 6 months & am with powergen energy online for both gas & Elec.

    It's quite easy.
take a reading 9 am monday then take another the same time next week.
take the higher reading from the lower reading
    Eg monday 1st - 90874
    monday 7th - 91476
    = 602 - your weekly usage!
this changes depending on the time of year

There is no way to calculate your annual consumption until you have been in the house for a year. However as you have been in for 6 months(Sept-Mar) you have had the heaviest expenditure already; especially for heating.

As a rough guide I use two thirds of my annual total from mid Sept to mid March.
