Hi

I've had a quote from a biggish local firm who are from Worcester Bosch's approved list. The quote is £2624 incl vat to supply and fit

Worcester Bosch 37CDi
flush and magna(something) doodah for sludge prevention
wireless programmable thermostat/control
re do pipe from gas meter as it's too small
2 days work estimated

Will also ask for a 5 yr extended warranty to be thrown in as it was offered by another firm whose quote I'm waiting for.

Could anyone tell me if this is about right please as it's a lot of dosh.

Hi Penny
Cant really comment as not expert. However I have paid £3.4 k for a similar spec boiler with 2 year warranty (valliant) plus entire new central heating system for a 3 bed semi so I would suspect your quote is a little pricey. Canucklehaed who is on here will give you some spot on advice. It will depend where abouts in the UK you are as prices more expensive further south you are.

Thanks Becky. I went with another firm inthe end because they were cheaper and could start today. I'm v impressed with what I've seen so far and they are coming back tomorrow to finish off. Thanks again

Could I ask how much the job ended up costing you ?

I have had a quote to fit a worceter bosch hi-flow 550 with a new gas pipe and a poewer flush for £3200. Trying to figure out how good a quote that is another chap I've had quote for the job hasn't got back to me yet.

just got a highflow 440cdi and 13 rads fitted including ripping out old system and repipe whole house for 6.5k
