I posted an item SD on the 14th and I'm slightly worried as the buyer hasn't left feedback yet, and although it's saying the item was delivered from the right delivery office, it's telling me there's no electronic proof of delivery. At first it said something like check again in the next few days, it will take a while to update, but now there's nothing like that, which makes it seem more final - i.e. it's not going to get updated now?
Your item with reference Z************ was delivered from our RINGWOOD Delivery Office on 15/04/09 .
Thank you for using this service.
We can confirm that this item was delivered before the guaranteed time.
Sorry, an electronic proof of delivery is not available for this item.
So my questions are - is it possible electronic proof could still be updated and if it doesn't is the above sufficient to win a Paypal claim?

TIA :)

NOt all buyers leave feedback - in fact a lot don't!

Why don't you just email the person via Ebay and enquire if they received the item?

RM are a hit or miss if they provide the sig - I always send recorded and 9 times out of 10 they show sig but sometimes not.

You can also email RM on pod.team@royalmail.com

They can provide you with an attachment that shows your recorded mail transaction number and who signed for it.

Tell me about, I do know buyers don't always leave feedback  I wouldn't be worried solely on that basis, only because the proof of delivery wasn't showing too. Naive me thought sd was more guaranteed than recorded, which I know can be hit and miss whether they get a sig or not.

I was going to email the buyer next, just I know people can get irritated if they think they're being pestered for feedback and was slightly wary about letting them know there's no electronic proof of delivery showing before I knew if this was ok or not.

If I can get the proof of delivery manually from Royal Mail that's fine, thanks :)

To be honest, you're jumping the gun.

Why do people get paranoid about this? You should only worry about this when the buyer contacts you to say they haven't got it.

given many DO's still use paper sheets for sigs then it takes time for these to be sent off for scanning and uploading
this is not done at the DO's

that's fine, thanks Custardy, I just wasn't sure because they'd stopped telling me to keep checking.

And thank you all for telling me I'm being silly, lol and I don't mean that sarcastically. I'm just more paranoid than normal because I'm not used to selling higher value items.

Never enquire on whether a buyer has received an item it will only give the bad ones evil thoughts, assume it has arrived until you hear otherwise.

thats no time at all to get a signature, i wouldn't worry just yet

as custardy said, 15th delivered, cards posted to scanning on 16th, received on the 17th, scanned and keyed in either on the 17th or today, if i were you, i'd give it until wednesday then give RM a call or as someone else said, do nothing until you are told it's not been delivered
