into my first week I have spent 2.00 on loo roll sunday. 18.16 on shopping in Asda yesterday, 39p on a stamp and 38p on a paper today. Not doing too good, as my budget is £30 ! bloody Asda!0

40p yesterday on choccy and £7.20 today on a prescription (they always catch me out) but it was payday today and I haven't splurged yet.
Happy budgeteering everyone - FF like the novel approach. I nearly succumbed to maltesers today but they were 95p at the garage - makes your rolos look cheap!
Wow, how much.
I'm not sure any choc is worth that, she says nomnomnom ing through a rather large and expensive thorntons easter egg bought by non MSE OH as he couldnt be here.

If I included my groceries in this challenge I would be b*ggered.
I have done my SOA and have an allocated monthly amount for groceries which I have in a separate bank account. (Dedicated budgeteer that I am!) The money I budget for on here is for my silly spends.
Maybe that would work for you? If your budget for groceries was say £20 per week, then you could have a tenner as your silly money for this thread. It would stress you out less when you remember you need shopping

Morning all
Yesterday I spent:
- £3 on card at work on breakfast and a latte (this is becoming my downfall, stupid starbucks)
- £1 on fruit from M&S
- £1.40 on roll and biscuits from Sainsburys
- £1.50 on bus home
Really need to control my spending as so far this week everything has been unnecessary. I am noticing that all my spends seem to be food related which must be a little worrying.
As for the chocolate debate I always think chocolate is about 30p a bar as that was what it was when I was a kid but it seems to have gone up by quite a bit. I always wonder if they still sell penny-sweets or are the 5p-sweets now?Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Milky ways used to be 12p:rolleyes:. But like you I think they should be around 30p and crisps should be 23p. To be fair to the 95p maltesers they were claiming to be a bigger bag (said so on the packet) but I suspect this is the size they used to be before everything got downsized. There is a £1 shop near my work that sells certain chocolate bars 4 for £1, so in theory it'd be moneysaving to buy from there but I'd just end up eating more (I did get 4 lindt eggs for £1 just before Easter though:D).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Pointy I'm sooooo glad I'm not the only one. All my spends seem to go on food, or friends wanting to grab a cuppa. And I'm far too lazy in the mornings to stick to bringing lunch in with me!:rotfl:
So far this week my total is £5.00 on food, £4.79 on cigarettes (evil evil evil) and £4.50 on Slimming World Subs.
Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine xx

I'm mainly spending on food too this week:
£1.25 on tea and a scone
£0.25 on coffee from the machine at work
£2.99 on lunch
Total so far £4.49
It's amazing how the little spends add up really. As of payday (tomorrow) I am going back on the wagon in terms of my caffeine addiction and taking my flasks in every day again. I'm just being lazy at the moment!0 -
Did well (ish) today, although I think giving up the booze has turned me into a chocoholic as I spent £1.38 on rocky bars in asda today (and ate nearly all of them
) and now i'm curled up on the sofa with an easter egg and a hot chocolate yummy
also spent £1 on bread and £1.15 on yoggies for DB lunch so thats £3.53 spent today leaving me with £6.47 for the rest of the week - if i can battle my chocolate addiction that is :rotfl:Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
