I told him more than a day....he was happy with that but then wanted to know how he'd bring it home. I told him he'd be cooked like a piece of kfc chicken so it didn't really matter...am I evil?

Right, off to Morrisons, salad with olives and maybe a couple of steaks??? And coors lite, yum.

Maybe catch you all later. MWAH

Sorry I spent my whole childhood asking silly questions like that and more fool my mother she used to answer them - in the days before Google we used to have a 'pears' list when we came back from anywhere of questions to look up in the pears cyclopedia :D:D

(Now me and OH always end up with a google list ;))
  • I've just gone and covered myself in some old body spray I found in my room earlier, to hide the fact that I had to nick my dad's shaving gel to do my legs and underarms when mine ran out part way through. I think I've overdone it a bit, I'm choking on it now. :D

I used to be the same. I once quizzed my grandma on how much plane tickets to India were because I'd found a mouse in the garden and wanted to give it to Mother Teresa for a pet! :D

I think one of the best gifts your parents can give you is curiosity about the world - it makes everything sooo exciting :D

I had some excellent encyclopaedias, they were Disney ones, 20 in the set. Each one was a different subject, I used to sit for hours reading them. They were beautifully photographed, hardback big book, with lovely Disney illustrations all the way through.

Year 1 AD was the first year of Christ. Any before were BC, before Christ. Therefore year 0 couldn't happen?

me too bookie - I hate olives. I was once in a production of Abigail's Party and the role ate olives for a section of the play. The audience was so close I had to eat real olives...._pale_

see bookie - a succint and accurate answer... and in agreement with BB too...!

Gotta love Google!! Erin and i were doing some research yesterday. we were in montrose and there was a big statue of a dog, so she wanted to know more, i knew nothing about it.... anyway turns out this dog belonged to a norweigen minesweeper that was based here during the WW2, and the dog famously looked after the troops, ensured they got home from the pub ontime, broke up fights, always stood on the front line during air attacks n stuff...

It was nice actuallly researching and learning something with her... something that was interesting to us both...

Of course being a little emo, erin couldn't help but get upset when she knew Bamse was dead and wished she'd got to meet him!

    bless her!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
