Morning all!
I've just done a matched bet with the leftover from yesterday after my lovely bursary which came through this morning and I'm now off to pay some money off my c/c. It'll be nice to actually do an update on that sig in a bit.
Had a little bit of a panic when the lay bookies decided to have a mad 5 mins and wouldn't let me place a bet but it calmed down the second I got on the phone to the helpline. Typical! At least I was still on the automated bit. I might even do another bet later.

Morning all, how is everyone? Hope you are all good,

Can I borrow that sunscreen? I'm not sun intolerant, just I burn easily and I get hives in hot weather.
In other news: Unconfirmed family grape vine says my older sister can't have kids, so I am waiting for her to tell me so I can reiterate my offer to surrogate for her.
Edit: New star!!Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

Gosh Snaggles - I thought I was allergic to stuff (I get itchy from running now and have to take anithistamines sometimes), but that sounds painful!!!
I feel a bit a freak though - I never wear make up except when out drinking and even then only mascara and eyeshadow and lipgloss - I dont know how to put it on tbh, I am quicker to get ready than OH most of the time
During the day I just tend to stick to tinted moisturiser, mascara, lipgloss, but I do wear more if I'm going out or seeing friends in an evening. I'm never heavily made-up, but I envy people who can go out completely bare faced, I would feel very self conscious.
*passes sunscreen round to all those needing it*
Oh yes, and anti-histamines help, but they knock me out, even the non-drowsy ones. I'm literally too sleepy to function! So no point really, because I'd still end up inside, asleep on the sofa! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I have a dilemma, my girls are coming over for my birthday tomorrow, wine has been mentioned, so I am thinking what is a sensible amount of wine to drink. One or two glasses? Though we'll have to wait and see, party stuff got mentioned too, I would rather have lots of snacky food than alcohol. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. I just never got into the make up thing so I feel worse when I wear it - because I cant apply it
I just wear outrageous clothes so no one looks at my face, I've had terrible skin in the past, but I was shocked when people kept saying that it was really clear - I think its easy to get tooo close to the mirror and be disappointed - no one sees you that close up except yourself

BR, if it's your birthday and you'd prefer not to drink, why not just tell them honestly? You could have a laugh making non-alcoholic cocktails and party snacks? If you don't want to discuss the reasons for not drinking, just say you're on antibiotics or something?
I can't advise on 'sensible drinking' because I'm merry on one glass of wine, and then I forget that I was only going to have 2 or 3."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Oh they all know the reasons why I've stopped drinking, they've known me long enough to see how I can get. If they bring along the wine, then they can share it. Not stopping them from drinking. It's been over 8 weeks and I feel I am on a roll now. I haven't done anything stupid, risky or embarressing and I would like to keep it up.
Ooh, I don't need an excuse! Just realised I can't drink on my migraine pills! Woo!Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

i don't really do the make up thing either, for much the same reasons becky... i'm not very good at it!!
I remember in Manchester i put some make up on, met bunny and sammy, and bunny said something like, "if anyone needs a hand with their eye make up, just ask" i was so paranoid i wiped it off once we got to the bar!!
I've tried 2 types of tinted moisturiser thinking it might be the time to adopt a bit more coverage, but it still feels very heavy on my face.... and i was spotty for weeks afterwards....
beanielou have me some mineral make up, which is nicer, but ends up all over my clothes when applying it... so i need to work on that too...
i do like lipgloss during the day, and if i'm going somewhere maybe mascara... but that's it....
put some Dove tanning stuff on legs, arms and face this weekend and it looks good.......so no foundation style-ee make up required for summer months.
Does anyone want the Nivea Young Skin tinted moisturiser off me? It was bought for Manchester meet in Feb? anyone jusy PM me and i'll post it...I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
