My yearly AA breakdown recovery renewal was just round the corner.
For Homestart and Roadside assistance it's normally £103.00p
Came on this site to see whom does the best deal.
Saw that, via Quoteline, Europ Assistance do a deal for £59.00p
Told the AA if they would do a price match, they said they'd only do a price match with the RAC. So I said, in that case I won't renew with the AA.
Managed to bargain them down to doing the renewal for £66.00p, albeit specific only to my car. Well I never need to call it for someone else's car.
So, thanks to this site I got a bit of a bargain.

So, all you out there whom are about to renew their car breakdown cover....get the bar-stewards to give you a better deal.

Alternatively go with AutoAid for half the price if you are prepared to "pay and claim".
I think it's currently £32.0 -
But decided, for the convenience to stick with the AA in this situation.
Especially at the £66.00p price and then not having to worry about having to go through the pay or claim scenario.
To be honest, whenever I've had to deal with the AA they've been absolutely brilliant.0 -
aww wish i'd known that sooner, renewed mine in feb!! maybe next year.0

Excellent, its also always worth looking on sites like Quidco, Rpoints & Greasy Spoon to see what deals they have & if you don't belong to these communities join through this site rather than Google search etc & let this site earn from you joining.0

Hi any suggestions for break down cover for me and my partner? The cheapest would be good:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0

You missed out Bendybops, a few weeks back they were doing joint cover for the price of single. So that was £45 and then £20 back from RPoints meant I got cover for me and the gf for £25!
Its now £52.80 for joint cover so take off £20 for RPoints if you have them = £32.80
Still not a bad price for both of you, thats just the cheapest option though, just Roadside assistance!

When my renewale came with The AA I realised there was a £10 saving for new members, so I argued and said why should I renew when I can not renew and buy again on their website. They told me to go whistle. I haven't got breakdown since then ;o0
